KATABAMI JU-JITSU DOJO

O-SENSEI ALEXEY KUNIN

Katabami Ryu Ju-Jitsu roots goes back to the ancient warrior class, who adapted different patterns, flowers and crests to represent their families, arts and beliefs. The Katabami Mon ( Crest ) had greater appeal among the samurai clans, especially during the Heian period ( A.D. 794 - 1185 ). " KATABAMI " means a wood sorrel. " In early days in Japan, the leaf of the wood sorrel was used to make a medicinal salve, and also to polish bronze mirrors; because of the latter use, it was also know asKAGAMI-GUSA or " mirror plant ". The fruit of the wood sorrel contains many seeds, and the plant is extremely reproductive. In later centuries, some warriors who used the wood sorrel as an emblem cited this characteristic as an auspicious token for the future proliferation of their families. It has great healing properties and the three points between the leaves represent swords. Wood sorrel is almost always portrayed with sword blade devices as part of the design, either appearing tiny and integrated into the central base of the leaf or in larger format between each leaf or both. When appearing with swords separating the leaves, it is called KEN KATABAMI - Wood Sorrel with swords ". The Story of KATABAMI: " In an old tale, When I grind a wood sorrel leaf and polish a mirror, that the mirror shows a face of person to yearn for it. " In our Katabami Ju-Jitsu Dojo we have 3 philosophical internal principles : SOFTNESS, FLEXIBILITY AND BALANCE. Be like soft water that can not be grasp. Be like bamboo flexible and yielding, but internally hard. Be like giant tree grounded and balance. O-SENSEI ALEXEY KUNIN

INTERNATIONAL MODERN COMBAT FEDERATION

KOKUSAI GENDAI SENTOO RENMEI

SOKE PHILIPPE FLOCH

The I.M.C.F. was created in 2006 based on an initiative of Philippe FLOCH, President and International Technical Director, founder of "Modern Combat Philippe Floch System", after 40 years of investigation in the fields of martial arts, self defense, and personal safety.

Modern Combat is an evolving martial art, never static, within the reach of everyone, adaptable in any situation, and it joins together the tradition and the essence of traditional martial arts (aiki-jutsu, jiu-jitsu, goshin-jitsu, karate-do, karate-jutsu, Philippine martial arts ) with the effectiveness of the fighting tactics and the modern intervention techniques used by special intervention police and army groups of the entire world (krav maga, systema, telescopic defensive stick, Police tonfa, techniques for protection and tactical progression).

Modern Combat is a system of defensive and protective tactics, a self defense and close combat method of empty hands or using objects of everyday life as a personal defense weapon. This elaborate system will interest any person that is looking for a modern simple and efficient protection method.

ANSHIN RYU JU JITSU

SOKE RON RAMADGE

Founder and principle instructor Soke Ron Ramadge has over forty years experience in martial arts and has been teaching Ju Jitsu since 1975.
Anshin Ryu Ju Jitsu incorporates throws, locks, strangles, arm, wrist, leg and finger locks, pressure points, striking techniques, weapons, weapons defense, grappling and break falls to form a very strong and street wise self defense system.
Anshin Ju Jitsu uses blocks and strikes that render the opponent either off balance, in pain or disorientated, this then allows the student to take control of the situation and follow through with the suitable technique.
Anshin Ryu Ju Jitsu is always striving to improve technique and as such is very much in touch with the reality of today's situations and needs in relation to self defense.
Anshin Ryu Ju Jitsu technique utilises a combination of hard and soft moves to ultimately turn the opponents strength against them and allow the defender to subdue the opponent.
Soke Ron Ramadge has also developed "Tan Bo" (club) techniques which are based on the unarmed defense techniques use in Anshin Ryu Ju Jitsu.

I.B.A.

HANSHI JOSH JOHNSON

The Giri which I owe to my late Sensei, Grandmaster Phil Milner is the reason for the setting up of this web site www.iba.eu.com and the continuance and recognition of all his work within his lifetime of promoting the ideals of the Martial Arts through his unique training methods within The International Budo Association.
He influenced many lives during his 40 years of teaching and many of todays high ranking Yudansha owe their present status to O-Sensei Milner. Giri () is a Japanese value roughly corresponding to duty, obligation, or even burden of obligation in English.
Duty (from due) that which is owing. The Law of Obligations is one of the component private law elements of the civil law system of law. The Law of Obligations finds its origins in Roman law which is defined as a legal tie or legal bond in the Institutes of Justinian. It concerned with situations where a person has incurred a personal liability for which he is answerable at law. A burden is a heavy weight that is difficult to carry. Metaphorically it refers to anything difficult or troubling. The state of being responsible, accountable, or answerable; a duty, obligation or liability for which someone is responsible or accountable. The obligation to carry forward an assigned task to a successful conclusion. With responsibility goes authority to direct and take the necessary action to ensure success. Josh Johnson Sensei has been teaching authentic Wado Ryu Karate-Do in England and worldwide since 1965. He is a karate traditionalist and therefore teaches and runs the Yid-Ga-Ling Dojo in a traditional manner. All affiliated Dojo linked to the Yid-Ga-Ling main dojo (Hombu) are run in the same way. Any Martial Art is a lifelong commitment which, in time, will improve a person's discipline and etiquette, as well as mental and physical strength. Todays exponent often want a quick bit of training which will enable them to impress their friends and many of todays martial skills have bent to accommodate this image; only time will tell the outcome of this method of imparting and receiving knowledge. At the Yid-Ga-Ling we do not compromise tradition. The training, practise and teaching of the Yid-Ga-Ling Dojo is based on the traditional methods of passing on the Martial Arts and ways of the old Masters; what other people choose to teach and practise is their concern. We will neither lower our standards nor compromise the schools syllabus in order to attract, or keep, students. People who are sincere and wish to devote themselves to a disciplined, time-honoured way of learning the Martial Arts will find the achievement of a Yid-Ga-Ling Black Belt Certificate worth the extra time and effort it takes to accomplish. The knowledge and skill attained through following authentic grading standards gives our Students and Instructors a legitimate and acknowledged standard within the Bona-Fide Martial Arts fraternity.

SOTO RYU JU-JITSU

SHIHAN DARIO SOTO MORALES

Soto Ryu Ju-Jitsu developed by Dario Soto, direct student of Soke Sensei Saiko, Shihan Y. Negishi, Generation X prestigious school of samurai Japan Shinkyoku Ryu Tai-Jitsu Ju-Jitsu, which dates back over 450 years of history Hassekawa Family. Soto Ryu school of Ju-Jitsu is a style of Modern Ju-Jitsu: it is based primarily on experiences and know-how, transmitted by Soke Grandmaster Y. Negishi. Taiho Jitsu, both Jutsu, Ken-Jutsu, Aiki ken, Aiki Jo, Jo-Jutsu, Kendo, Tai chi, Dairy Jutsu and Iai-Jutsu would enable it to develop a modern jujitsu style tailored to the needs of modern society while maintaining the scientific basis philosophical and gave birth to this wonderful martial art for centuries and today is the father of modern martial arts of Japan. This style is very dynamic and is based on chains of techniques for both the defense and to attack adversaries with one or more armed or not. We note that these techniques are practiced in the form of Kata, Kumite and Randoris, Soto Ryu Ju-Jitsu also has its divisions of police and Jujitsu sports for children, youth and adults. This style has had the opportunity to develop in a country like Venezuela, a city of violence, where there are cases of robberies and kidnappings. Sensei Soto was able to develop techniques to suit various types of attacks and high-risk situations that have been practiced through a serious and scientific study based on testimonies of victims where the techniques are developed for the purpose of effective and rapid responses to situations of daily life.

KUNG DO LAMA

GRANDMASTER RIGOBERTO LOPEZ VAZQUEZ

Kung Do Lama, has a base of formative discipline of the spirit, that permits the person that practices the art to develop confidence in itself. Kung Do Lama, applies the Bushido code in their physical and moral ethics, so that it students assimilate through the learning of the self-defense to be conducted always with honor. Our Martial Art, has also as priority to develop the sports aspect, therefore considers this indispensable area so that our students can learn universal values that permit them to live together with any type of martial arts student of this or another continent, that is to say; fundamentally Kung Do Lama has the conviction that a language of moral principles and behavior of a student of any martial art exists, where they be governed chiefly by the loyalty And the respect. We understand the honor of the warriors (Bushis), its organization, its clans that to the day of today continue in force in his traditions; we admire the capoeirists for there sacrifice and fight of liberty upon being felt slaves of the Portuguese, developing a technique of kicking that our system Kung Do Lama adopted for being so effective. Marvelous has been the contribution of the Master Pastia and Bimba, therefore upon knowing them they were my inspiration to understand as the philosophies of the martial arts are intertwined as different that seem. The Sambo and the Judo have given us sample of the fight by being recognized in the world as martial like authentic arts, by their dexterity and ability, being respected their contribution an example of patience and tolerance. Kung Do Lama, fights for their students to succeed before other martial arts or styles of battle by applying technical submission and not only violence. Our system in spite of the fact that is a strong, hybrid art, of application of complete contact, standard to all his students to develop his dexterity, agility, talent, in such a way, that during his martial growth the individual find the truth in "DO", that is to say the equilibrium in his form of personal, sports, and martial life.

KURODAIYA

PROF. KRISHNA GOPAL

Kurodaiya is the Dutch Self defense / fighting system which is characterized by simplicity and efficiency and was developed after a study of Bio Mechanics (kinematics). Kurodaiya is not a mixture of techniques from different style. It is a new system based on its own philosophy. By using the right muscles for the right motion, one does not need any power.Kurodaiya use no blocks and requires a minimum of strength and motion and unnecessarily contact with the opponent is avoided. It is therefore fast and easy to learn. The techniques are based on 1 action 1 response and therefore very different from the most systems where the application of techniques are being practiced with a dummy, where after 1 attack, a lot of action is applied. Because the whole system is based on full and permanent control of the opponents attack, it becomes easy to prevent the second attack.Through these techniques, the system is stripped of all forms of aggression and allows Kurodaiya to be used in many disciplines and at all levels of violence control in any job where one has to deal with violence. Kurodaiya can be used by first responders, security people, police, justice, interior workers, supervisors, etc., and fulfill to all the requirements that is required by the Law regarding application of violence in proportion to control violence.

KAISENDO

GRANDMASTER JUAN DIAZ

The KAISENDO was created by the G.M. CUNNINGHAME JU-JITSU

PROF. TYRON CUNNINGHAM

As ancient retainers to the King of Scotland (a.d.1040-1796) until this very day, as Cunninghames the world over have fought, lived, and died for the countries in which they have lived. Most of the wars and battles were for country, clan, and family; to establish liberty and freedom to live in accordance with free choice and to worship God without compulsion. As knights and retainers, Cunninghames throughout the centuries have honed their combat skills to a level of expertise necessary to serve when called. Cunninghame Ju-Jitsu is the home of combat and police ju-jitsu applications-worldwide. Therefore, the physical applications of Cunninghame are not for visual aesthetics rather the substantial applications of thoroughness in close combat effectiveness utilizing both man made as well as natural weapons. "Once the battle is joined, the objective is efficient domination of the threats will through facilitation and unification of time, weapon, and target in the sequential continuum of battle prowess and with knowledge of all predatory attack options."Thucydides once wrote that one man is much the same as another and he is best who is trained in the severest school. My father, Sr. Professor Cunningham, taught that "Training must be harsh, so as to develop a mental shield against pain. Battle must become your element, the place you live, thrive, and prosper". This is the essence of Cunninghame Ju-Jitsu.

NINKIDO JUTSU

SENSEI GUILLERMO SEMPERE CAMPILLO

Ninkido Jutsu was created by Master Guillermo Sempere in Spain thinking on adapting a system that covers basic needs for self defense in real life and in sport training. It is a defensive combat method that involves general attacking procedures and joints manipulations for immobilization. Owing to the Ninkido Jutsu Characteristics, the systems involves different areas or subsystems with specific characteristics, this was created with the goal of covering each subsystem needs, studying and practicing them first for finally dividing them as followed: NINKIDO JUTSU-SELF DEFENSE, NINKIDO JUTSU-POLICE DEFENSE, NINKIDO JUTSU-WOMEN SELF DEFENSE, NINKIDO JUTSU-MILITARY DEFENSE, NINKIDO JUTSU-CHILDREN SELF DEFENSE. The natural aim Ninkido Jutsu wants to reach is to make people can get the natural and specific self defense knowledge, for self protection that let the students get by and grow up with a martial training method within the legal international procedures, developing themselves in situations were self defense is needed but being aware of behaving without breaking the law.
